On January 10, 2020, the EPOSM project (“Evidence-based Prevention Of Sporting-related Match-fixing”) has been launched with a kick-off meeting at Ghent University. The EPOSM project will run for two years (2020-2021) and is co-funded by the European Commission in the context of the Erasmus+ collaborative partnerships in sport program.
Premiazione Concorso letterario internazionale
Losanna – 11 gennaio 2020
Nella capitale Olimpica, in concomitanza con i Giochi Olimpici della Gioventù ha avuto luogo la premiazione del 1° Concorso Letterario Internazionale del Panathlon International.
Al Ristorante Losanna 2020, nel quartiere del Flon dove risplendeva, sul tripode, la fiamma dei Giochi Olimpici della Gioventù, il club di Losanna ha ospitato la Cerimonia di conferimento delle medaglie e dei diplomi ai due ragazzi che hanno ottenuto il primo posto assoluto. Presenti numerosi rappresentanti di diversi club della Svizzera, il Segretario della Fondazione Maurizio Monego e la past Consigliere Internazionale Renata Soliani. Purtroppo, il Presidente Pierre Zappelli non ha potuto presenziare all’evento, che concludeva il percorso di un progetto al quale si era molto dedicato, a causa di intervento chirurgico al ginocchio nello stesso giorno.
In sua rappresentanza il Segretario Generale Simona Callo, insieme alla responsabile della Rappresentanza del PI a Losanna, Melody Exhenry ed al Presidente del Club di Losanna Philippe Cottet, ha rivolto un saluto a tutti i presenti, spiegando le finalità del premio e annunciando i due vincitori assoluti del 1° Concorso Letterario Internazionale: Marta Buscaglia (di anni 14) del Liceo Artistico Felice Casorati di Novara e Angelo Petrellese (di anni 18) dell’Istituto superiore Roncalli di Poggibonsi (SI) che con le loro opere, rispettivamente “Un tuffo al cuore” e “Poesia” si sono aggiudicati il primo premio assoluto per le categorie di età, 11-15 anni e 16-19 anni.
Dopo aver letto le motivazioni della giuria, il Presidente del Club di Losanna Philippe Cottet ha quindi consegnato ai ragazzi, le medaglie in oro ed i diplomi.
Ai due giovani vincitori ed ai loro accompagnatori, il Panathlon International ha inoltre offerto il soggiorno per questo fine settimana a Losanna in modo da permettere loro di partecipare e vivere l’esperienza dei Giochi Olimpici della Gioventù, visitare la città ed il Museo Olimpico.
A conclusione della Cerimonia il Segretario Generale ha ringraziato tutti coloro che hanno collaborato a questo progetto del PI ed i soci del Club che si sono adoperati per allestire, per tutta la durata dei Giochi, uno “stand” del Panathlon International per fare conoscere la nostra Associazione e per diffondere i nostri valori soprattutto fra i giovani.
Ai due giovani scrittori che hanno partecipato a questo emozionante momento, le migliori fortune ed un avvenire radioso!
Premiazione Concorso letterario internazionale
Sabato 11 gennaio a Losanna si terrà la cerimonia di premiazione dei due vincitori assoluti per fascia d’età del 1 Concorso letterario internazionale indetto dal Panathlon International.
Sarà presente il Segretario Generale Simona Callo in rappresentanza del Panathlon International.
Un doppio appuntamento sportivo in quanto Losanna ospiterà dal 9 al 22 gennaio la terza edizione dei Giochi Olimpici della Gioventù, dove il Panathlon International sarà presente con uno stand allestito dal Panathlon Club Losanna per tutta la durata dei giochi per fare conoscere la nostra Associazione e diffondere i nostri valori, soprattutto fra i giovani.
Accordo di collaborazione tra Panathlon International ed Once Ocean - Sottoscrizione e divulgazione della “Charta Smeralda”
Anche il Panathlon International condivide e si impegna per la salvaguardia dei mari e degli oceani.
Martedì 11 dicembre 2019 il Presidente Pierre Zappelli insieme al Vice Presidente Esecutivo e legale rappresentante di Once Ocean, dott. Riccardo Bonadeo hanno firmato un Accordo di Collaborazione nel quale il Panathlon si impegna non solo a sottoscrivere ma anche a collaborare per la divulgazione della “Charta Smeralda”: un codice etico che ha la finalità di sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica e tutti gli operatori per affrontare i problemi più pressanti degli oceani e degli ecosistemi marini e costieri, e che è teso a definire ambiti di intervento concreti, immediati e focalizzati alla risoluzione dei problemi.
La Charta Smeralda è rivolta principalmente agli amanti del mare e a chi vive il mare per sport e per passione, alle strutture che ne promuovono e supportano l’attività.
Il Panathlon International che è un movimento internazionale con la finalità di affermare l’ideale sportivo e i suoi valori etici e culturali quale strumento di formazione ed elevazione della persona, di solidarietà e di pace fra gli uomini e i popoli, non poteva rimanere indifferente a questa iniziativa.
È così nata l’idea, promossa dal Club di Mestre e dal Governatore dell’Area Veneto, di sottoscrivere un accordo per collaborare a proteggere e a tutelare i nostri Mari ed Oceani, madri e culle del nostro Pianeta e della nostra vita, e anche delle attività sportive che in essi si svolgono.
Una iniziativa veramente importante che ha anche l’obiettivo di aumentare la consapevolezza sulla situazione attuale e sui rischi che corre il nostro ecosistema marino e costiero, ambiente dal quale dipende anche la nostra sopravvivenza. Rapallo, sede del Panathlon International, ma anche tantissime città e porti di tutto il mondo, hanno già avuto la dimostrazione della violenza e dei danni enormi che gli squilibri degli ecosistemi possono causare.
E siamo solo all’inizio.
Panathlon International’s antenna in Brussels was successfully represented at different events organized by the EU DG Sport.
As the objective of P.I. is to develop a regular participation of Panathlon and Panathlon members into the development of ethical values in sport at an international level it is the aim and role of IB member Paul Standaert to focus on the European level.
Mr. Standaert was invited to the meeting of EU Expert Group on Integrity in Sofia, Bulgari on 12 and 13 November 2019.
Members of this group are international experts in the field of the struggle against Sport manipulation and match fixing. The Bulgarian Ministry (Mrs. Racheva -Slavkova Director Eu programmes), hosted the meeting and welcomed
Counties and Governments of EU states Denmark, Finland, Slovakia, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Malta, Hungary, Lithuania, Estland, Netherlands and more participated.
National and International organizations are invited to the Expert Group as observer and are welcome to share experiences and insights on these topics.
Observers represented sport unions, Interpol, SIGA, UNODC, ENGSO, Digital Sport Rights, FIFA, UEFA, International Betting Integrity Association and also Panathlon.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Le Losteque Head of the EU unit Sport. He expressed the great interest of EU to the topic of good governance and match fixing and promotes applications to Erasmus + projects in the framework of the combat against match fixing.
For 2019 only 7 applications on the 260 granted are based on anti-match fixing.
Therefor EU calls for new projects on the topic. The next deadline for 2020 application is April.
Panathlon International is a collaborating partner in a 2019 project EPOSM, a initiative of the University of Gent in collaboration with the universities of Loughborough (UK), Lausanne (CH), Utrecht(NL), and also IRIS (FR) VMIS (Austria) Stichting CSVF (NL) The antenna of P.I. in Brussels will take care of the coordination for P.I.’s role and input in this project in collaboration and support of the Panathlon EU club.
In Sofia, M Standaert was able to represent Panathlon and to connect with the participants and specifically to representatives of Bulgari and Greece. Both expressed a sincere interest in Panathlon’s work and values, and they will study the possibility to start a Panathlon activity in their country.
Mr. Luciano Di Fonzo of EACEA reported the latest status about Erasmus + and shared some statistics on the evolution since 2014.
2014 – 40 projects
2019 – 260 projects selected upon 700 applications, for a total grant of 55 million EURO.
On the agenda of the meeting was an overview and status of the work realized by the expert group (already 4 meetings) It’s final report and recommendations is to be finalized in the next days.
On 30th of January 2020 EU will organize in Brussels an Erasmus+ Information day.
