District Presidents’ Committee
The Committee of the District Presidents will be held in Castellanza (Varese, Italy) on Friday, April 5, 2019, from 9:00 am at the Auditorium "Università Carlo Cattaneo " LIUC.
The Presidents of the Districts Austria, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Switzerland and Uruguay will attend the meeting.

International Board - 21st March 2019 in Lausanne
The works of the International Board have begun today 21st March 2019 in Lausanne at the “Olympia Hall” of the Olympic Museum.

Memorandum of Understanding between FIMS and Panathlon International
The first meeting of the newly elected Executive Committee of the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS) with 2018-2022 mandate met at the Maison du Sport International in Lausanne, Switzerland on the 12th March 2019.
The Executive Committee meeting was opened by Prof. Uğur Erdener, IOC Vice President and Chairman of the Medical & Scientific Commission.
Particular highlights of the meeting included the approval of the composition of the new FIMS Commissions and the signing of a MOU between FIMS and Panathlon in the presence of its President Pierre Zappelli.
Updates on the activities carried out by Panathlon International’s Representation in Brussels
Hereunder please find a brief summary submitted by International Board Member, Mr. Paul Standaert, delegate for the Panathlon International Representation in Brussels – during the meeting of the President’s Committee held in San Marino on November 23, 2018. Erasmus +
As from December 2017, a task force was established to work on a proposal for the Erasmus+ in view of preparing, no later than April 2019, a project aimed for children aged 10 to 14 years on the role that parents, coaches and teachers have in Sport.
European Week of Sport
Panathlon International’s Representation in Brussels, in partnership with the European Lotteries and ENGSO, have organized a well-attended sports activity in Brussels and, the day after, a seminar on Gender Equality and Good Governance was held.
Panathlon Award
Panathlon International’s Representation in Brussels hosted the presentation of the “Stipendium” a Panathlon Award for the best “city project” in the Flanders to promote the values of Panathlon International.
European Study on Sport Manipulation
In response to the appeal of the Belgian National Platform against match-fixing, the Panathlon International’s Representation has organized a meeting in order to agree a partnership with Panathlon International on this specific European research program.
EU Brussels Club
Many people are interested in Panathlon International thanks to the great evolution of the Representation office in Belgium which is turning into an international platform and network. That is why, a new Panathlon International Club will be founded by the end of the year.
Moreover, International Board Member, Mr. Paul Standeart has participated as representative of Panathlon International at the following meetings:
• In April 2018 at the International Safe Sport Conference in Madrid a point benchmark for the promotion and development of structural measures to safeguard children in sport;
• In September 2018, at the conference organized by the Austrian Minister of Sports and the inauguration of the 2018 European Sports Week, of which Panathlon International is official partner, always in Vienna.
A special thanks goes to Philippe Vlaemminck, member of Panathlon Gand who offers the facilities of his Company, Pharumlegal, to host the Representation, to Thiery Zintz, President of the Belgium District and Justine Vandenbon, member of Panathlon Brussels, for her considerable and valuable support and for the organisation of the Erasmus + project.
Anne Tiivas has been presented with an OBE by the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace
The OBE was awarded to Anne Tiivas, member of the Scientific and Cultural Commission of P.I., as part of the Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to safeguarding children and young people.

P.C. Reggio Calabria - Oreste Granillo’s versatility and the National Day of Sport
Two initiatives of great thickness have seen in the past weeks the Panathlon Club of Reggio Calabria alongside the Sports Institutions. The first week was dedicated to the ceremony with which CONI wanted to remember Oreste Granillo important manager and leading figure of the south on the twentieth anniversary of his death. The second week was dedicated to the national day of sport, with about a thousand youth who, for a whole Sunday, crowded the waterfront of the town.

P.C. Reggio Calabria – Presentation of the "Charter of Parental duties in sport"
A day in the spirit of sport and family values, applauses, music, vintage movies, prizes, interviews, autographs, memories, and, above all, many useful reflections.
It has been a great presentation for the " Charter of Parental duties in sport” on the initiative of Panathlon Club Reggio Calabria.
PCU University Games
EU Sport Forum
The PCU Games ensure a free sports and events program for universities and university colleges worldwide, including a free Panathlon International membership. The main objective is to offer students a platform where sport is considered as a valuable instrument to develop international interaction and experience, with emphasis on Fair Play and Universal Friendship.
The 18th PCU Games are organized from 26 to 28 April 2017 in Antwerp (Flanders, Belgium). Men’s Futsal, Volleyball, Basketball and women’s Basketball and Volleyball are programmed. Registration is simple as explained on this website and the registration deadline is 1 March 2017.
ENRICO PRANDI TROPHY
Not only the competition winners are awarded but also the winner of the overall Fair Play ranking. The Enrico Prandi Trophy is a prestigious award, unique in the world of university sport and the highest merit a university can achieve in relation to ethics in university sport. Different from almost all other university sports events, the main objective of the PCU Games is to offer students, universities and university colleges a worldwide platform where sport is considered as a valuable instrument to develop international interaction and experience, with emphasis on Fair Play and Universal Friendship. Enrico Prandi, born on May 21, 1945 (Italy), is the Past President of Panathlon International, former member of the International Olympic Committee Cultural Commission and former President of the Italian Basketball League. He initiated in 2010 the idea to create a university platform within Panathlon International to promote ethics in sport also within the worldwide university community.
HOSTING CONCEPT
To guarantee a free program, the hosting rights of the PCU Games are granted to one single university community for a term of more years. The host is consequently ensured of the necessary return by means of publicity on a long term and is able to downsize logistic and financial requirements. The Antwerp University Association is our first partner within this new format. The Antwerp University Association is a structural cooperation of four higher education institutions in metropolitan Antwerp with about 40.000 students.
HOST ORGANIZATION
Sport, Fair Play and international interaction are considered within the Antwerp University Association as highly important for the educational development of students. Also the universal Panathlon values and the recognition of the association by the International Olympic Committee are considered as complementary with the mission of the Antwerp University Association. As a result the Antwerp University Association agreed to host the PCU Games for the next years.
